RESONANCE/Oslo. Sound performance at the club Dunk in Oslo on 24 April 2024 where I played 30 minutes of various field recordings from two different projects in Barcelona which are mixed live … and with beautiful trumpet from Torgeir Wergeland Sørbye above. The concert series Resonance is curated by the Italian artist Alessandro Marchi.
RESONANS at Dunk Oslo
Resonans is a monthly event that features live electronic music. It is not bound to any genres and rather gravitates around genuine and passionate exploration of technology and sound. The night has two electronic acts, with DJ intermissions. Curated by Alessandro Marchi, an Italian artist based in Oslo, Norway. Marchi’s artist practice revolves around human modified landscape, ownership, inequality, chaos and public space, especially on how humans constantly negotiate and modify the space they live in. He works experimentally and site specific to create installations, events, artist books, walks, sculptures, carpets, paintings, maps, texts and audio pieces. Resonans is inspired by his 2022 residency in Detroit where he came into contact with some of the original creators of techno, and amongst the multiple events, one stroke his attention: a night called “Technically, Yeah” which features live electronic music monthly. Alessandro spends time browsing the internet for synths and drum machines and so he thought to try to connect with likeminded people and organise a night where to share knowledge and passion revolving around electronic music. Resonans delve into a broad spectrum of electronic music, not limiting itself to one in particular. Each night will possibly be an unexpected meeting of two artists and two different musical styles and genres.
