“The mysterious lightness of the sound of Gisle Nataas“
In the last century the actions of the artists acquire a central role in live artistic practice, gradually finding their own vocabulary in the term performance. Gisle Nataas, charismatic architect and brilliant performer, inaugurated the international art festival ”The body language” inside the historic Venetian palace Ca ’Zanardi with a sound performance. Through ”Breath / City / Birds” Nataas shows us a sensorial masterpiece emphasized by the actresses Signe Schineller, Camilla Nneka Inalu while the voice of Katiuscia Dari accompanied us among the Invisible Cities of Italo Calvino.
The refinement of the exclusive Venetian sounds are like the breath of the city exactly like a perfume that gives it a touch of mystery. The sound journey is not only linked to the architect’s passion for the historic city but shows us how Venice is a perennial and immortal work of art that exudes history and charm from an architectural and anthropological point of view. There is no difference between listening and taking a trip to the lagoon. Closing our eyes it is as if we were taking a gondola, we could hear the sound of the wind, the water moved by the oars, the fatigue of the gondolier … all this creates an incredible harmony.
VENEZIA – La misteriosa leggerezza del suono di Gisle Nataas
Nel secolo scorso le azioni degli artisti acquisiscono una centralità nella pratica artistica dal vivo, trovando progressivamente un proprio vocabolario nel termine performance. Gisle Nataas, carismatico architetto e geniale performer, giovedì 13 febbraio 2020 ha inaugurato con una performance sonora il festival internazionale d’arte “The body language” all’interno dello storico palazzo veneziano Ca’Zanardi. Attraverso “Breath/City/Birrds” Nataas ci mostra un capolavoro sensoriale enfatizzato dalle attrici Signe Schineller, Camilla Nneka Inalu mentre la voce di Katiuscia Dari ci accompagnava tra le città invisibili di Italo Calvino.
La ricercatezza dei suoni esclusivi veneziani sono come il respiro della città esattamente come un profumo che le conferisce un tocco di mistero. Il viaggio sonoro non è legato solo alla passione dell’architetto per la storica città ma ci mostra come Venezia è un’opera d’arte perenne e immortale che trasuda storia e incanto dal punto di vista architettonico ed antropologico. Non c’è differenza tra l’ascoltare e fare un viaggio in Laguna. Chiudendo gli occhi è come se prendessimo una gondola, avvertissimo il suono del vento, l’acqua mossa dai remi, la fatica del gondoliere… il tutto crea un’incredibile armonia. Adriana Repaci
