Gisle Nataas – architect MNAL and sound artist 
Born in Bergen and lives in Oslo. Graduate architect from Bergen School of Architecture and Royal Danish Academy – Architecture – in Copenhagen.  Nataas is a member of the National Association of Norwegian Architects (NAL) and the Norwegian Society of Composers (NKF).

Gisle Nataas is a architect and sound artist and do live performances with sound and field recordings from specific projects in architecture. The field recordings are mixed, processed and transformed into new musical and spatial experiences on stage.

Nataas have been working with the architecture of Sverre Fehn, with the sounds of the buildings since 2022. “The sound of Fehn” has resulted in 14 concerts and 4 sound installations in Europe: Malmö, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Prague, Venice, Torshavn, Barcelona, Ørsta, Bergen, Domkirkeodden and at the Ultima – Oslo contemporary music festival. A vinyl release (LP) is now being made, summarizing the project “The Sound of Fehn”.

NATAAS/ is a architecture and sound art studio established by architect Gisle Nataas and registered as a company in Norway with organization number NO 924 369 019.
